The Origins of Monopoly

I recently ran into the blog of Mircea

(the guy who saved OpenBSD one of the most secure open source OS existing and author of a nice blog you should check out. http://trilema.com/ As well as http://mpex.co/ a advanced bitcoin trading platform with a 30BTC registration fee)

A background image of the game of Monopoly appears on his site it reminded me that I really dislike this game because it just represented what capitalism and its destructive main flaw the inevitable concentration of wealth into one singularity that cause the system to reboot through destruction.

I remember reading about the origin of the game before it became a way of practicing capitalism and teaching your kids how to be a good capitalistic killer at home.

This is the story More or less taken from Wikipedia  :)

The Landlord's Game the precursor of Monoploy is a board game patented in 1904 by Elizabeth Magie as U.S. Patent 748,626. It is a realty and taxation game, which is considered to be a direct inspiration for the board game Monopoly. Though many similar home-made games were played at the beginning of the 20th century and some predate The Landlord's Game, it is the first of its kind to have an attested patent.

Magie designed the game to be a "practical demonstration of the present system of land grabbing with all its usual outcomes and consequences".She based the game on the economic principles of Georgism, a system proposed by Henry George, with the object of demonstrating how rents enrich property owners and impoverish tenants. She knew that some people could find it hard to understand why this happened and what might be done about it, and she thought that if Georgist ideas were put into the concrete form of a game, they might be easier to demonstrate. Magie also hoped that when played by children the game would provoke their natural suspicion of unfairness, and that they might carry this awareness into adulthood.

Eleven years later in 1913 that fateful year the americans started paying interest/rent of the US dollar  to the FED as well as the year that the IRS came to be through the ratification of the constitution.

Free America Is Down

When I was a kid America was the symbol of everything I loved, Comics, Superheroes, Vans shoes,Baseball, Skateboarding, Reese's pieces, Surfing, Radioshack, New York, Hawaii, Florida, Disney Land and Disney World, Horse riding with one hand, Baseball T-shirts, Basketball, The Knicks, Hotdogs, Bagels and Pretzels, Action Movies, Cable Tv, Apple IIe or Commodore 64, Pepperidge Farm Chocolate Chip Cookies, Dr Pepper and so on ...

30 years later things have changed so much, the land of the free is no more, it has been taken over by bureaucrats, corporations and bankers, the dollar is worthless, the first black president is a muppet, freedom of speech is no more, 1984 has been surpassed and the nsa has implemented a system that would make orwell sweat and question if the model was the Stasi...

I remember how I used to love airports and flying as a kid, every time I would go and sit in the cockpit and ask 100 questions to the pilot, the seats were wide and comfortable. The cops were nice and would mostly eat donuts even the prostitutes of 42 street would joke with kids in an nonchalant way...

The twins would look over us like two giants and knowing I was related to the female model of the statue of liberty always made me some how proud to be linked to America through that symbol of liberty given by the French...

A friend told me when the Berlin Wall fell "this is the end of Communism but within your lifetime you will see the end of Capitalism" I do believe that his prophecy will come true.

The time has come to break our slavery bonds reject the feudal kings, queens and religious organizations, take control of our society's through direct democracy, bring forth the rule of the people by the people and for the people, we have the power we are the 99%.

The main tools of control they have is FEAR, MONEY, LAWS, PATENTS, COM'S, ENERGY, WEAPONS, SEX, HEALTHCARE. this is their power base this is where we have to hit.

There are a few easy steps that you can take to start eroding their power base,

1) Pay cash
2) Invest in and use bitcoins
3) Have more than one passport
4) Be who you are so that they can not "expose" you
5) Know your rights
6) Use Tor when browsing the web
7) Add https everywhere extension to your browser
8) Do not keep your savings in the bank
9) Do not use a smartphone if you do not need one.
10) Vote

Conclusion:

Blackphone the first NSA proof smart phone.

Thanks to Snowden we found out how bad the surveillance state had become making 1984 look like a parody of reality suddenly we awoke and now we are starting to react as a society to them, there are many initiatives but this is a high profile and useful one  ... Blackphone

I Think Therefore I am

I can not prove it or explain it scientifically it is just a gut feeling, but others have described the a premise of quantum theory, which has long fascinated philosophers and physicists alike, it states that the very act of watching, the observer affects the observed reality. That is the basic proof that the act of thinking determines reality and our collective thoughts / conscience makes the universe reality making in effect our imagination the architect of the universe.

How to protect your privacy

People ask me what can I do to protect my privacy ... The long answer is stop using facebook, google, yahoo, OSX and PC operating systems, use Talis OS on hardware that has an open source BIOS like coreboot, learn how to use PGP,use https everywhere, disable your microphone and camera, do not use a smartphone, use alphanumeric passwords with at least one uppercase, do not use the same password for all sites or services, use two factor authentication etc. for most of us the above is not really feasible even if the NSA keeps everything for 15 years or more ... so for the simple answer use TOR for browsing as much as you can and install a relay node if you know how to, this will disrupt and protect you partially Https Everywhere is also an easy add on to install.
